Meet the President of Sisters of the Skies, Diana Lugemwa. Diana has volunteered with SOS since 2017 and is also a cargo pilot for FedEx flying the Boeing 767. Her passion for aviation began at a young age, leading her to earn an Aerospace Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. When she’s not cruising at 35,000 feet, Diana still enjoys chasing the views from above by hiking and being in nature. Committed to diversifying the skies, she is passionate about inspiring and mentoring the next generation of pilots!

President
Kimberly Scott Ford is a 737 First Officer for Alaska Airlines based in Seattle, WA, and a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve Lieutenant Colonel. She has accumulated over 11,000 flight hours in commercial and military aircraft, including more than 7,000 hours in the KC 135R Stratotanker and C 17 Globemaster, and earned five Air Medals for wartime and humanitarian missions. Over her 25 year Air Force career, she served in worldwide operations, flying critical missions in support of national defense and global relief efforts. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with an MBA from Eastern Washington University, Kimberly continues to share her passion for aviation by mentoring and inspiring the next generation of aerospace professionals.

Vice President
First Officer Stephanie Hartsfield is a founding member of Sisters of the Skies, Inc. From Atlanta, Georgia, she was hired by American Airlines in 2017. Hartsfield initially trained on the Airbus 320. She holds type ratings on the Boeing 737, 767/757, 787 and the Gulfstream VII. She currently flies the 787 “Dreamliner” on international routes based in American’s Philadelphia, PA hub. Simultaneously, “Commander Hartsfield'' achieved a 28+ year career in the US Navy and Navy Reserves and is a proud graduate of the United States Naval Academy. She resides in Atlanta with daughter Stephanie James and husband James Hartsfield, III

Meet Captain Alexis Robinson, Board Member for Sisters of the Skies, Inc! She is from Atlanta, Georgia and obtained her degree in Finance from the University of Georgia. She went on to earn her CFI/II/MEI and logged over 1,100+ hours of dual given instructing in Atlanta out of KFTY. Alexis is currently flying the Embraer 170/175 around the east coast of the USA. She enjoys volunteering, crafting, drinking coffee, and reading mystery books in her free time!

Khady Ndiaye Wooden was born and raised in Senegal, she moved to the United States after high school to pursue her dream of flying. Khady earned a bachelor’s degree in aviation and a master’s from Louisiana Tech before launching her aviation career. She currently serves as a First Officer on the Boeing 757/767 with Delta Air Lines, having previously flown with ExpressJet and Horizon Air. Passionate about representation, resilience, and empowering others, Khady is committed to breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation of aviators.
